Lab Facility
The CRAVE Lab's hardware includes 20 machines with 64-bit processors.
All the machine run on either Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex or Gutsy Distro.
A Multimedia Server and Multimedia Workstation is also a part of the CRAVE Lab catering to its requirements for development and production based projects.
The Ubuntu distribution has a local LAN repository through application called Apt-cacher.
The LAB also uses DrQUEUE Render farm at production level for projects based on 3D Animations.
Students and Staff of DBIT interested in joining the CRAVE project are provided with these facilities.

CRAVE HARDWARE:

Each client system has the following specs :
  • AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
  • ASUS A8V-MX Motherboard
  • 2 512MB DDR Volatile Memory chips
  • 80 GB Hard Disk (PATA)
  • 17" Samsung Syncmaster 793s
  • Nvidia FX5500 with 256MB on card
  • Logitech keyboards and Optical Mouse.
  • Headphones-cum-Microphone
The CRAVE Multimedia Server (Launchpad) stand-alone system, which is used as the Render-Farm master and repository:
