The DUCS-CRAVE mailing list which had been created in month of February is now fully functional as all members have been added to it. The mail list can be found at https://groups.google.com/group/ducs-crave. Taking inspiration from above, we at CRAVE have created a new mailing list called DBIT TechTalk at http://groups.google.com/group/dbit-techtalk DBIT TechTalk is the premier online technology discussion forum for the DBIT community. It is not a new concept, this mailing list started around September 2005. It was initiated by DUCS group. Due to certain technical problems the list was out of function during entire year 2008. After considerable thought it was decided to switch to google groups. |

Hotel Management and Catering Website up |

The project to create a website for Don Bosco Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (DB-IHMCT) has been completed. It was taken up as a CRAVE project. The project was undertaken by the current Project Manager Christopher Uzhuthuval. The website can now be browsed at http://www.dbihmct.in. CRAVE Lab upgraded to 8.10 |

This is to bring to the notice of all that CRAVE Lab has been upgraded from Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon to Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. More Info on the same can be found at CRAVE wiki. |

This is to bring to your notice that the CRAVE website has been updated. The links have been made more meaningful by tweaking the htaccess file. The index.php which used to be visible on every page has been removed. |

Automated Database Backup |
|
Starting from October 2008 the MySQL Database Backup will be done automatically. Till now the DB backup used to be done manually which was not very smooth. The shell script for Automated MySQL Backup was implemented by using crontab in background. |
