CRAVE gray theme
From CRAVEwiki
CRAVE Gray theme was designed to give all the machines in the crave lab a custom look.
We are looking for people who can make and usplash for this theme set.
The gray theme consisted of following items:
Contents |
Wallpaper
A custom designed wallpaper for normal and wide-screen using inkscape was designed. Sadly the original .svg file was lost, Royston Alex has promised to redesign the .svg file.
Gnome-splash
This template was designed using blender and GIMP.
Grub splash
This template was designed by modifying the original wallpaper template and then later modified using GIMP to get into 8 bit color depth.
Login window template
The login window was again designed using Inkscape and inserted into an existing login template with minor changes in xml files of the gdm-login files.
Gtk-theme
The CRAVE's gtk theme is nothing but simple change of colors and some neat choices of icons, controls and windows border of the default available themes in ubuntu.
Firefox default page
The default firefox template was designed again using Inkscape and was later hard coded into html page and a css style sheet.
Template placement paths
These templates needed to be placed in appropriate directory for its ease of availability for all users. Moreover the paths also came in handy while writing customization scripts for CRAVE Multimedia Geek in CRAVE lab.
