DB-IHMCT website

CRAVE had received a proposal to create a website for Don Bosco Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (DB–IHMCT) from management of DBIT. The project was accepted by Christopher Uzhuthuval. It was decided to use Drupal for creating the website. Drupal is a Content Management System similar to Joomla. Drupal was mainly tried due to curiosity, because at CRAVE we had never used a CMS other than Joomla. For more on Drupal, click on link Installing Drupal.
The Website was approved by Management & uploaded on February 2009. The link to the website can be found at http://www.dbihmct.in/

Template
The template selected for the site was Barron which is a XHTML & CSS based two column theme. The template was then modified a bit to meet our requirements.
Modules
DB-IHMCT site has the following extra modules installed:
Front Page
Front Page module allows site admins setup custom front pages for the site.
Views
Views module helps in creating customized lists and queries from the database.
FCK Editor
FCK Editor enables the usage of FCKeditor (WYSIWYG) instead of plain text fields.
Couloir Slideshow
Couloir Slideshow is a Javascript block slideshow.
Lightbox2
Lightbox2 can be used to add special effects to images. It can also be used to create slideshow.
Image
Image module allows uploading, resizing and viewing of images. It allows easy attaching of image nodes to other content types. It allows sorting and displaying of image galleries based on categories.Finally it allows batches of images to be imported from a directory on the server.
ICME
An image/file uploader and browser supporting personal directories and user quota.
