DUCS-CRAVE Presentation2008

DUCS-CRAVE Presentation 2008 was conducted on May 16, 2008 at DBIT staff monthly meeting . It was organized to encourage the staff members of DBIT to get involved in DUCS and CRAVE body.
The presentation started with an simple introduction to both the organization and describing their individual goals & objectives. In order to help them relate with their field of interests the presentation explained the different departments & groups within the organization. A brief description of various projects undertaken in CRAVE & DUCS was presented.
The staff were presented with the possible methods they could be involved some of which included guiding students, mentoring them and encouraging students to do their academic practicals using open source tools.
This presentation put forth the DBIT open source revolution project of DUCS. The proposal was to encourage students to pick up certain practicals and perform them using open source application under the guidance of staff members. The aim was to smoothly transit into using open source alternatives over a few years.
CRAVE Annual Presentation2008 video was launched on this presentation to showcase the visual development and production skills of CRAVE team.
