This was fourth lab setup at CRAVE laboratory. It involved the following procedures:

OS Installation
Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex was installed on 17 machines. 3 machines were left out due to technical infeasibility. On 6 machines i686 version of OS was installed. The remaining machines were installed amd64 version.
Applications
All the known applications like IDE, Multimedia Players, Multimedia Authoring Environments, etc. were installed.
An IMPORTANT inclusion in this Lab setup has been VirtualBox, a Virtualization software. This was needed as Vmware had been removed from the partner repository of Ubuntu starting from 8.04.
Repository
The sources.list was changed to hold necessary packages.

LDAP Implementation is to be tried this semester on Intrepid as previous attempt on earlier versions failed.
