Multimedia library setup2008

The task was to install CRAVE multimedia Geek on new 32 bit machines in Multimedia Library LAB in DBIT.

Student machines were installed with latest version of CRAVE Multimedia Geek and customised using Distro customization script.

The staff machines were not installed with CRAVE Multimedia Geek. The task was temporarily halted for staff machines because the CRAVE System Administration department is trying out the new customization module for CRAVE Multimedia Geek which will give the machines a windows XP look and feel.

An LXP theme was looked up and tested but proves to be a little difficult since it uses XCFCE desktop environment. The team aims to customize at gnome desktop environment level and will initiate in July 2008.
